HANNIBAL COUNCIL

(HANNIBAL)—Hannibal’s City Council meets tonight. 7 p-m in council chambers. Council members are to hear a request from the Hannibal Community Promotions Committee for support of a fund raising campaign to provide fireworks for this summer’s 4th of July celebration. A request to waive sidewalk costs and building permit fees at the Becky Thatcher House comes from Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum executive director Cindy Lovell. The council is also scheduled to vote on a resolution authorizing the Hannibal Convention and Visitors Bureau to accept a proposal of a brand development strategy from Hoffman-Lewis. Cost is 25 thousand 300 dollars. The resolution also authorizes the mayor to enter into the agreement.
